Libreville🌴, Petite Ville🌞

(the cover of my new book) Coucou la Team! "Destination Libreville" is my new book.
I miss you already petite ville. i will be back soon. I love you Libreville, my life, my everything. Nobody can understand the attachment that we have as Gabonese who lived the 80's and the 90's in Libreville. This little African town. The best years! Une chanson (tribute to LIBREVILLE) un hommage a ma ville. Une chanson de Guilou des annees 80. Bisous a vous et a bientot. J'ai mon autre site que vous pouvez aussi visiter : www.poshenvogue.com

Homie Say Yeah!

OMG! So many memories! I can't believe it! It's been 6 good years now! I remember this video clip as if it was yesterday. My friend Browdy Lowen just reminded me of "Homie Say Yeah". He called me to join his group of friends that I didn't know at all. One day he called me, he wanted me to be a part of his video clip. I was like :"No...I don't think I can do it...You know how shy I am when it comes to this kind of thing." And his lyrics made feel like...kind of uncomfortable and I told him thatI wasn't sure. But then he told me:" it is ok Laetitia let's just have fun with us this afternoon!" Ok! I honestly had a good time. I met his friends that day but never saw them again after this video clip shoot. He sang this song a year before and he then decided to shoot the video in town. And I had to be there because he really wanted me to be there. I was in another town so I did the trip just for the occasion. I wore a pink shirt and a blue pair of jeans. Nothing special. Just me on my everyday. We were all simple in our everyday outfits. Just us. And here it is still...I am laughing just watching the video again. So this is the song Browdy Lowen " Homie Say Yeah"

My Single Life🥰 in Libreville 🌴🌞

Hello Dear Readers,🌞 it's been few days since I left my Hometown now and really it was a good trip back to my country Gabon. I miss Libreville already. It was my memories of my little city where I grew up. It was so different now. Yes, I have precious memories from when I was a child to my adult life. Unfortunately, my direct family wasn't there. I mean by that, my mom and my siblings. But I had my uncles, aunties where I went to seek advice and just get some discussions. I spent quality time with them. You always learn from the elders. And I got some of my cousins and Nephews. I visited them and they visited me as well.
As I look back from the day I came back home after more than 7 years, I felt lost first. I was sad because I was alone without my siblings. I felt depressed so I was going to seat alone at the beach...walking in town I was... Then, everything got better after the third month. Then I spent three full years and few months. My return in Libreville was a blessing. As a matter of fact, I am going to publish very soon a book about how to live in Libreville. from Personal experience. Maybe it will help a tourist, a visitor...who knows?
So how was my single life in Libreville? Sometimes being single is the best thing 😌 that can happen to you honestly. I mean I don't mind being in love with someone but really it is not a must for me anymore. I think you can feel completed even when you are by yourself. Being in ❤love with someone is a good thing. It is beautiful but being single is just happiness 😊. So let's look back in time ⏲ how was my single life in my sweet hometown? So, first, it was me going to invitations like at my niece's traditional wedding. Actually we had like 5 traditional weddings in my family this year and last year. The two last one were last week before I left actually.
Then, it was me going to discover restaurants and discovering some stores...I love going to see what is good or new in town.
This red building below is in town center not far from my apartment. We call it "Pelisson" You can go there by walking distance. Not far at all..it is a colonial memory restaurant. It is historical. I grew up seeing Pelisson. In the old days I remember around the 80's and 90's it was still the best in town. Pelisson was a fine salon de thé! When your parents were buying a birthday cake 🎂 there, you were so happy 😊! This is Pelisson in 1958/ 59 ( source: Souvenirs du Gabon)
I also went out of town to my father's lands in my precious village I went to see and start a farming project. My father worked a lot his lands that he purchased many years ago. I was a baby. He is no longer among us but my goal is to keep working and doing what he did. My father means a lot to me even gone. 🥺 so this is Donguila The best thing your parents can give you is a piece of lands.
I often went there and I am still on the big project with my family. I shared with you a lot in my blog about Donguila my village. You can check it out!So, Sometimes when I went back to my place after a long day out of town, I would listen to the folkloric music of my country. That one was "Bach to Africa" the title is Lambarena. If you know Dr Albert Schweitzer he was playing on his piano, Bach often when he was in Lambarene, a little town in Gabon where he was working as a doctor in the hospital he founded himself for the local population. Dr Schweitzer got a Nobel prize for everything he was doing. He rest in Lambarene.
The "Bach to Africa"/ Lambarena that u listened in the short video is a long album. It is a mix of classical music with the folkloric music of Gabon 🇬🇦. very original 👌 I am telling you! Talking about folkloric music, I was going to the museum of Arts and traditions that was a cross the street of the building of my apartment. It is a good museum! I also went to visit the village of local artists in town. Not far too.
And it was me feeling at peace, feeling at my best. feeling happy and inspired everyday. Enjoying life everyday. Living my best life!!😅🌞🌴 ( btw Have you ever tried to read my magazine that I posted on Amazon? Posh en vogue magazine 🥰 it is My first one. I did everything myself) Well, I miss you now Libreville, petite ville
Actually you can watch everything in my youtube channel Merci!! and 😊Thank you for reading this post. if you don't know I have a website where you can read some of my articles. I invite to visit www.poshenvogue.com I also have two books on Amazon Laetitia Meyo 1/ A Night with a Marine and 2/ How Far is this America. Bye!!! And I see you on a next post.

Pray for Niger 🇳🇪

let's pray 🙏for Niger 🇳🇪 please but seriously something is happening in Africa. Stay connected and watch the news...something is happening in Africa. I close my mouth. No more words from me but it is serious. The West part of Africa is on fire. The desire of freedom is strong.
(picture Source: Al Jazeera) I don't know what to say. just watch the news. My heart is sad at the same time because too much in my mind. For decades people have been mocking us because of this or that knowing perfectly that Africa is the richest continent of the world. well... Did you God saw all our tears? is Africa standing up again? is it time for the change that we Africans have been longing for? Am I going to witness a new Africa soon? is freedom coming at last? The Africa of Patrice Lumumba (rest in peace true leader) gone too soon the Africa of Thomas Sankara (humble leader rest in peace) your blood wasn't shed in vain. Gone too soon. The Africa of Nelson Mandela (rest in peace, always standing) and the list goes on. I am also thinking of great men like Marcus Garvey who had a dream for this continent (rest in peace), Marthe and Felix Moumié, Um Nyobé, Ernest Ouandié We don't forget your fight for freedom. We can't forget you. I think about David Diop who wrote this so great and famous poem "Africa my Africa" Your cry is not in vain. it is written like a prophecy. Maybe the time is coming at last who knows? This wind of change is serious. Africa doesnt want these obsolete leaders in power anymore. Leaders who are dictated and told what to do and to do things. No more of these puppets leaders who destroy this continent, killing innocent lives for their personal benefits and the benefits of the West ( the western world🌎). Just because they want to remain in power forever and being corrupted by external forces. Hum! I close my mouth right here but please no, no more of it. Gabon is entering his important presidential elections this month too. The people is extremely tired...I don't know what will happen. I just pray too. well let's see because enough is enough. Neocolonialism enough,, lies of deal enough, manipulation and political pressure enough.. No it can't be like that forever...I don't want to cry but it has to stop. This everlasting slavery is enough. People of the world always making fun of us, mocking us. No it is time to bring respect 🙏 for this continent which gave a lot. Niger I pray for you. We pray for you. You are not alone... To you, every descents of the African continent ( wherever you are) you should be on your knees and pray for what is happening on West Africa now. This is not a joke. I don't want to cry. We are one. I vowed to myself that I will never talk about political news in this blog again but what is happening now in Africa must be talked about. The crisis in Niger means a lot to many of us in the French Africa. The English Africa should join forces to support 🇳🇪Niger. It is time for us to write a new page in our History book. They used us so much for decades!!, they lied to us so much, stealing our natural resources for centuries. no! we can't anymore. It is enough...No that can't be forever. Wake up Africa. Lions 🦁of Africa roar now. Wake up children of Africa. Freedom is coming I believe it. Time will tell. Freedom is coming in Africa. Oh yes I know. Thank you for reading.
