Hello from Washington D.C!
I am spending my Summer once again in the city. I don't know...I might stay here or leave or...well I am at the point of my life where I am ready for any good adventures. I have so much to share in this post and I don't know if I will be able to do it without forgetting to mention something. There is something about me that I realized recently: Whenever or wherever I go somewhere I always want to create something. I guess this is the divine part of every human beings. I believe that wherever you are there is always something to do.
Actually, I also realized something: Happiness comes through little things that we do in life. We do not necessarily have to have expensive things to be happy simply because Happiness is a state of mind and it is a choice. Life is too short to be angry or mean or discouraged...Life is something very special. When you understand life the way God made me understanding it like, life is long and it is also short altogether. The way we count times is not the way God does. When you read the Holy Bible you will see that it is said for God a year or a day is different from the way we count years and days. So you never know when is the last time you will be able to do this or that. Just enjoy the moment and like I always say choose to be happy and spread Love around you. Be good and do good and Love God.
My Summer has started in a very special way. I left Dallas...I don't know about the rest but my people do not understand how Dallas has been an important city for me. Years before I have lived in Washington D.C I didn't have the same experience that I had with Dallas. I love you, Dallas...You were such a nice city I am going to miss you so much! I have met nice people there and some cute squirrels. I don't know...But I am also happy to be here in D.C I think my state of mind is really different from years before. I guess I am more positive and like I said earlier more opened to new adventures! I enjoy being here as well. There are so many interesting activities around. If there weren't I would still create my own activities anyway lol! When I left Dallas in the afternoon my heart was a little bit sad. That was a huge part of my life that I left behind. Nobody can understand... However, I can't keep looking back I have to move forward...Sometimes I wish I could have often a travel partner I just don't like taking planes on my own anymore. Am I the only one feeling this way? Hum...Maybe because I am getting old I don't know but I just wish I could have a travel partner sometimes with time.
Leaving Dallas at DFW airport. I was sad... |
The trip was a little bit long because there were late flights. It felt strange to be sitting at the Dallas airport and thinking I might be not coming back. I had most of my trips from DFW (Dallas Fort Worth International airport) there. It is a nice and big airport actually! I really mean it They changed and they upgraded many things again. They are doing a great job making the city looks wonderful. Well, there is something which is sure to happen is change. Change is constant...and we must adapt to it no matter what. Change has always been a word that I knew since my young age and sometimes I was glad that change happened but sometimes...not at all. What can you do about it? Nothing! Just adapt to it and move on.
In Washington D.C, I went out to do many personal things and also fun activities. I also went to met a friend of mine who just came to the US for the first time. He has been a long time friend and brother to me. I like what he is doing for young people. He looks for possible scholarships in universities for them and he had a presentation for that matter. He created an English school and that is his passion. Mentoring and educating young people from difficult social class families as well. I sometimes told him the best accomplishment in life is to invest in human lives and giving them the best opportunities. Also giving to anybody Education. My father always told me that Education is one of the most important things. So hats down to people like my friend who are doing a great job for their students with passion. I have to admit that it is not an easy task and I am thankful for some of my teachers/professors who made me who I am today.
As we decided to go eating out I took him to our embassy because I wanted to do it too. he dropped some invitations for the presentation of his project and his school which took place in a hotel But me I was more interested in taking my Gabon magazines. Yes, I know I am always in my world lol! The truth is I love my country and I know I will do interesting things with time back home...I even brought my favorite stone with me from my country. I posted its picture already in my previous post. This is Art and root connection. I always take something from my country with me wherever I go. It's simply a good memory

It might take times but I know that I know that I will do interesting things especially for women and children. I have so many projects in my mind already that I wrote them somewhere. May God gives me more life and the possibility to achieve them. The day after in DC, I was so busy but I went out visiting the city.
There are so many interesting things to do such as visiting the museums and historic places as usual but you can go out for a free movie outside in the city or a free concert like the one that I attended yesterday. A Jazz concert in the garden of the museum for free and people were all there relaxed and enjoying the nice afternoon. We drank some fresh drinks and listened to music and chat then we went to eat at the restaurant. In the evening most of the restaurants are full in Washington D.C. So! I take you a day with me in Washington D.C. How about that?
Since I am here I have been so inspired. Actually, inspiration happens and I had a desire to share some of these things that I like to do as well. Have you thought about what to do during Summer? I guess yes so do I. I also have things to share with you, my daily routine since I came here. I also share the way I organize my little things.
This is for the ladies. The video is in French my apology to those who speak another language.
In the next video I show you how I organize my little beauty items etc? And you will see some of my women's perfumes choices. I like them for the reason that there are fresh they smell good and you take them when you want to feel chic! lol! I am serious guys. A lady is a lady like I like to say. To those who never thought about trying them why don't you do it? You won't be disappointed at all. I promise and you single ladies you might get a nice admirer while going at the museum! lol! I was just kidding. You know I am in a complete spirit and mood of Summer so I am really relaxed and sometimes I have a 'don't care" look as long as I am clean and that I feel comfortable
Some of my favorite perfumes for women (Coco Noir, Miss Dior and Kenzo) |
This is my "Me Time" which is basically my body skin care routine.
I did even bring back my Jo Malone collection. I simply love it! I don't know how to explain it but to those who do not know a lot about Jo Malone Eau de toilette or perfumes just try them whenever you can you will understand my point. There are not too strong and they smell either flowers or fruity scents
My Jo Malone's collection are back! |
You don't need too much to be happy like I said earlier in this post, simple things will make you happy too. I also wanted to share with you some of my Summer drinks that I make at home. How about that? Ok! These are two ideas below. I have posted more in my channel.
This is Summer drink one. Ok! to those who needs to understand something about my video and the music. They are mostly from the French Caribbean because this is my state of mind being in the island and these are the kind of music that I listen to too.
Summer drink two is simply some oranges and lemon
