My Favorite Movies

Hi! Guys I thought many times about writing a post like this one. It's going to be long so get comfortable guys. Get some drinks and maybe...some pop corn ( I am just kidding!)
Yes I wanted to share my favorite scenes of movies that I watched from my younger age until now. As you know I like movies a lot but I don't pick any type of movie. I have my selection and some movies really taught me things about life in general. I can feel the blues sometimes. Some movies inspired me a lot I wish they could produce that kind of movies more often nowadays. They are old for most of them from the early 90's but not too old for me I still watch them when I want because of what I just said they inspired me. I have learned from some of them like for example what it means to be loyal ( A quality that I like a lot)  I am thinking about "The Dead Poet Society."
I know that life cannot always be black and white. Sometimes it happens to see this grey area in the middle but still it's good to be real and true to ourselves in our decisions that we make even after mistakes. From some of these movies  I have learned Compassion (I am thinking "Free Willy".)  I love animals in general and I dislike to see them mistreated that's why I am not a zoo and circus fan. I don't go there because I do not believe that animals should be living in a circus life and  zoo where people exploit them and where visitors throw them some candies, snacks or whatever they have. As much as we enjoy our freedom, I believe that these animals are asking the same thing.
Some movies taught me Compassion (I am thinking "Patch Adams.") where Love is all we need to make people happy just love and dignity for human beings in general My reason my philosophy is to do the best I can when I can to help. Something  that people with who I interacted with or who really know me usually describe me as a compassionate woman I am humbly touched when I hear that because that is what my mum has always taught me very young and I like being this way. I was also surprised to hear some of them telling me that I like to make people laugh. First I didn't know that but later I realized that it's true. Yes, I definitely like it when I see people being too serious around me whenever it is appropriate I will say something to change the mood. So my choice of movies will definitely have some comedy . I like History  a lot ok?! Most movies that I like should have History as well because I like to discover things and remember events in general.
Now! Let's start with  my favorite movies. All the scenes that I posted are not mine but taken from youtube.com

"Free Willy" (1993)

Do you remember the movie "Free Willy"? It was released in the early 90's. I love this movie so much! I don't remember how many times I watched this movie. After watching Free Willy I realized that marines species should not be living in those aquatic parks or whatever it is called. I don't want to go there. I was like Jesse I wanted to see the orca whale out of this place and that's what Jesse did. The best scene of this movie was the end which was also bittersweet at the same time because Jesse was attached to Willy but Willy needed to be free.
As the owners of the aquatic park were after them (Jesse, Willy and his friends) Jesse helped Willy to escape and that part of the movie was everything!

Yes, I was sad too when Willy left but at least he was free...I cried at that part

 "Rush Hour" (1998)

What about a little bit of comedy. Yes! I like Rush Hour all the series and I believe that Rush Hour had that success because Jackie Chan (Detective Lee) and Chris Tucker (Detective Carter) both had a good work chemistry. They are two cops in the movie and they are always sent for mission in different places against a mafia. I wished they could do another one I had so much fun watching them playing together. Do you remember this scene when Chris Tucker was looking for Su Yong's locker at the martial arts school and instead he met the giant Chinese guy who nicely taught them "How to behave" (Laughing)
 just watch!
Some other scenes of Rush Hour.
A thrilling one with Will Smith,l Gene Hackman and his cat and Lisa Bonnet
Ennemy of the State (1998)

"The Fugitive" (1993)

Have you watched "The Fugitive"?! OMG!! I Love this movie! For some reasons I can still watch that movie again. Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones are  some of my favorites actors for real. I don't recall the number of times I have watched the Fugitive and I have even read the book (which was a little bit different) So Harrison Ford is Dr. Kimble who is the fugitive. He is accused of killing his wife when in fact he didn't do it. Somebody who happened to be a close person of his surrounding was behind it through this guy with an artificial arm named Sykes. Gosh! Sykes was strange like seriously!
Well this movie is a thriller, a really interesting one! The end is even surprising. (The scenes of the movie that I picked are not in a particular order sorry!)

"Forrest Gump" (1994)

I guess everyone remember these words "Run Forrest! Run!" (Laughing!) The first time I watched this movie I was so touched. I like Tom Hanks he is a really good actor! Here is the scene that I liked in the movie. Yes miracle happens when we expect the least! There was no way out for Forest when suddenly the imaginable happened . Since that very day in this part of the movie Forrest never stopped running I mean he was good at it. Was it also a way to escape from his troubles? Well let's remember Forrest Gump the man with a child'soul!
Forrest Gump in the army. That part with Bubba was funny according to me

"The Pursuit of Happiness" ( 2006)

A movie that taught me a lot about life about dreams "The Pursuit of Happynesss" is a real life story. Will smith is Chris Gardner. He is a single father struggling for a better life for his son. They are living in hardship but that didn't stop him to fight for his dream. Such a nice movie! Will Smith did a great job. It made me cry often but I have learned a lot! I like this scene  what he said to his son was really important. I understand that no one must set the standards for you or judge your capacity no matter what people say (even your professors, parents teachers, boss)  about you just believe in who you are your talent your ability. I like Will Smith he is also in my list of my favorite actors.

That scene with his son made me cried but what I like he never gave up
 Another scene
That part was the best of the movie!  .

Since my High school years I have always been interested in War World I and II my favorite part of History books. These two historical events have changed the world forever and we still live the consequences of these two wars right? Whenever I see an article or a movie about War World I and II, I will definitely read or watch it. I cannot explain why I wish I could. I was glad after discussing with a veteran of War World II few years ago to learn a little bit more from a real witness. Imagine a girl like me coming from a country where oral tradition is important. That discussion was precious to me  that man was like an opened History book. His brother and him went to War World II (As far as I remember The US was not involved in War World I because of the politic of Isolationism...hum...I have to remember this part...) So they went for War World II  His brother was at the battlefield in Europe but he went to the Pacific and North Africa . They both went back home safe and became two successful men. So that movie "Saving Private Ryan" depicts what happened there at that war
 "Saving Private Ryan" (1998)

I watched it in the French version. What a movie! I really  like it! I read that many American veterans agreed that the movie was accurate with the real facts. Tom Hanks and Matt Damon (Also a great actor) did a wonderful job. Matt Damon is private Ryan. That movie was like real. Ok! If you remember Tom Hanks and his troop were sent to search for Private Ryan because his other brothers were already dead on the battlefield and when the authorities found out the facts after receiving notes they didn't want that the mother lost all her sons at the war. Private Ryan was the last one so they thought it should be wise to save the last one so they sent Tom Hanks with his troop to search for him which they did I think there are in Germany or somewhere like that...Ok!  Watch the scenes!
I thought it was funny but the movie was not only funny there were some tragic parts as well

I probably should have called this post "My Tribute to Robin Williams."
I like  this actor so much! His lost is still a shock . I was sad to read few months ago about his death. Most of Robin Williams 'movies taught me values of life. Back home whenever I was sent to rent some movies I would always be picking one of his. I like this actor I miss him a lot! He did what he was created to do: Entertain people. That man had talent!. Please, let's remember once again Robin Williams in his movies.

Mrs. Doubtfire (1993)

Mrs Doubtfire it's  a story of man who is divorced from his wife and have little access to his children. The only way to be close to them was to play the role of a nanny A brilliant comedy!. Let's watch the cooking scene of Mrs Doubtfire!

That was funny right!?

"What Dreams May Come" (1998)
Have you seen Katie the Dalmatian. Awwww that's so sweet!
"What Dreams May Come"  another movie that Robin Williams played. To tell  the truth I didn't really understand the movie it was like really complex especially that I was too young to understand certain things but  I thought it was interesting. My best part was when he met Katie again( his dog, the Dalmatian)  in Heaven. It was bitter sweet because Katie ( his dog with his wife as well) met him just for few minutes but he was so happy compared to where he met his wife. It looked like his wife was in a dark place where people were suffering everyday...
I liked the colors in this movie.  He co starred with Cuba Gooding Jr.Well my dream is also to meet my dogs and cats who passed away years ago in Heaven someday. I know all their names and their fur and colors. When they passed away I was sad... My parent always try to replace a lost  dog with another one to remove the pain of the lost but still they all have different personalities and fur.
Anyway...C'est la vie! So I like when in the movie he shouted "Katie!!!!!" That was everything! I got so emotional of that part especially when Katie left after playing with him. It reminded me of times spent with my dogs back home. I always wonder how people can mistreat pets at home they are so lovely beings
Anyway... let's watch this beautiful scene
RIP Robin Williams

He played the Bicentenial Man (1976)
Did you watch it? How did you like it? O well it looks like some movies are older than me lol!
I love the song that Celine Dion sang for this movie "Then You Look at Me"

"The Dead Poets Society " (1989)
Do you remember the "Dead Poets society"? That was my movie!!! I don't recall how old I was when I first watch it but I know I watched maybe in 1990 something. That movie touched me forever. Robin Williams played a role of a teacher  name John Keating in an austere all boys school. I learned what it means to be loyal. These young men were brave. About the hypocrites? Well...they will remain hypocrites all their lives maybe...
I wish young people could watch often that kind of movie. Let's remember "Captain O My Captain" my favorite scene of the movie which made me emotional. That touched me so much!

How about Patch Adams (1998)
Yes, people it's all about how you treat others. Do you treat people with respect love and dignity? I love this movie! I have learned so much from this movie really. I wish I could have this kind of doctor too (smile) I know they are somewhere. To me compassion is so important. This world would be so different if people changed the way they treat each other. We are not perfect but at least we can try.
Let's watch this nice scene of the movie. Patch goes to visit the children of the hospital
That next part was so much FUN!!! Mrs. Kennedy has always dreamt about a pool of noodles since her young age and guess what? Patch Adams did it for her and few days later she felt better. See? No need for medicine sometimes Usually love and compassion are everything. I wish I could be in that pool too I don't mind having a child moment sometimes It's a good therapy trust me! There is a little bit of children in us and I love it because it's natural. I remember during  my primary school years my three classmates and I instead of going to our playground (Hush! don't tell it to my mum...If she knew that...Hum!) we would get out of the school discreetly and went to a high school's ground. There was a huge wall there and somewhere some grass and some pads for the Gym club members. Since they were not there, we would climb the wall then we jumped from up there to fall on the pads, yes it was really...not safe at All! But guess what?! We had so much fun! Thanks God nobody got hurt. We did that  again and again few days later.
Let's remember this scene of the movie I hope it will make you smile
What about this scene " Hello Vietnam". Do you remember that?

Another one: Robin Willliams played this character named Jack. The movie Jack was released in 1996
Jack (1996)
Jack has a strange disease that he was born with. The disease was that Jack ages really fast so he had to do things early and fast and quick too but let's listen to this wonderful speech that he did the last day of school! That speech says a lot. I kept it in mind I have never forgotten what he said. Thank you Robin Williams that was so inspiring!
Remember these words: "Make your life spectacular"
Another scene of the movie. That was funny guys! I liked it a lot!

"Sister Act" (1992)

Do you remember Sister Act?  I watched the I and II with so much excitement. I guess you liked it too. That movie was funny! Also  it was really interesting!  Whoopi Goldberg played a particular nun in this movie because of the character's past. That performance at school was my favorite scene of the movie. Whoopi Goldberg is great in this movie. I like Whoopi! Let's watch again "O Happy Day!" such a beautiful song with inspiring lyrics!
Yes! That young man has a beautiful voice! I was in love with his voice.

Titanic (1997)
Once again! A movie of History!  Ok! I have to be honest here. I am not too much into love stories movies the pinky roses petals, cream love and whatever it is. In fact when I watched the movie Titanic I was into the story of  the ship itself because it was real. That can sound strange but I know some of you understand my way to see the movie...Well, That's me. I have to say that yes I liked Jack and Rose's love but really I was sad for this ship the way it sank and how many lives were lost. What a waste! What a tragedy! I was in pain for all the people who died that very day. It was awful. I remember after watching the Titanic I had nightmares days in a row. My friends were  like: "Awww! Poor Jack poor Rose she was left by herself" and I was like: "Poor Titanic What if Titanic sank in the Atlantic Ocean maybe there would be more people alive and saved"
I was scared of the icebergs that day after watching the movie. Icebergs were like mean aliens to me.
Anyway...Titanic was such a great movie! Great actors as well: Kate Winslet and Leonardo di Caprio. Let's watch this beautiful scene of Jack and Rose together.
I like that scene because she was like a free bird in the air. I wish I could try what they did
Then I will be screaming:" I am the Captain of the world!!!" (Laughing)
Ok!  lover people let's watch the lovely couple!
I hope you like it It is such a beautiful scene with the ocean, the wind but mostly for you: Love!
Sorry I  have to post the next movie' scene as well. That was my main attention...I didn't like seeing people dying. In fact that was horrible! While watching this part I was just wondering in that kind of situation if the people who decided to die waiting for the water to kill them were more courageous than those who chose to struggle to stay alive? Maybe because they have already accepted their fate...I had no idea because the fact was they would die anyway. That was  scary because I am the kind of person who cannot accept a situation I would definitely be among the people who struggled to survive or to stay alive. I only give up until I have used all my strength and possibilities ...ok.. sadly let's watch the scene...
Poor Titanic...

Once again History (I like History). Another sad chapter of History: In 1976 young students from Soweto, Johannesburg in South Africa entered into a revolt against the system called Apartheid. Many of them were caught and sent to jail where they were victims of tortures many died as well. These children dreamt and fought for Freedom along with people like Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko and many others. This story was known in the world...So was this picture below. I even wrote a post last year on Nelson Mandela a tribute to him. If you are interested  you can check it out.

Hector Pieterson holding a classmate wounded in his arm

When I went to South Africa I visited some places but of course that particular place was definitely in my agenda. Unfortunately when the school organized the trip to Soweto that day I was really sick I could not walk at all. My roommate went there so I asked her to take some pictures for me. I was sad I could not and I never could later because too busy. At least she brought me a nice bracelet from there and some pictures (Smile)

Sarafina (1992)
I loved that movie. I watched it many times!  Leleti Khumalo is Sarafina in the movie The scene happened in a school of Soweto. Her mother is Miriam Makeba in the movie and Whoopi Goldberg played the role of her favorite teacher (If I remember right her name was Ms. Masambuka!)  Sarafina dreams about freedom she likes Nelson Mandela she hopes that Mandela will get out of the jail meanwhile she struggles for a better life. Interesting movie with a lot of dances and songs! I remember seeing Leleti Khumalo years later in a well known TV serie there, named Isidingo. Leleti Khumalo is from South Africa. Let's watch my favorite scene of the movie Sarafina: The Lord's Prayer.

How about something different

   The Bucket List (2007)

Guys! If you haven't watched this movie then take a time to watch it really! This movie worth to spend money to rent for a night at least.  Two great actors
Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman play a role as two close friends from different social classes. They both have their struggles, they both going through pain but the difference is the way they perceive life. I learned a lot from this movie. Nothing is eternal and sometimes money does not buy happiness for real.Yes, we need to be thankful for life that we have. Life is more than all the worries or arguments or anger or the differences. I know that we are facing many things and issues but remember there is more than that. Mother Teresa once said that Life is a gift, life is precious let's take good care of it.  If I was asked to make a comment on that movie  I would simply say: " Two thumbs up!" Here is a scene of the movie the two men are diving because one of them wanted to try it once at least

That was funny right? Just listen to this next scene of the movie The Bucket List. I mean this discussion was so important. Sometimes we need to sit down and think a little bit about us. Sometimes we need to stop running here and there and try to look for what is really important what is really essential in our lives.

Men In Black (1997)

I like Men in Black I and II about the third one....I didn't really understand the end but it was still funny anyway.  Men In Black: Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones are the two main actors of the movie. I share with you some of  my favorite scenes of Men In Black that you know already. Ok! I have to say something:
I like Franck the dog! Really guys I like this Pug! He was so funny!

The next scene.

Next it is:
Independence Day (1996)

Yes I like action and fiction in movies as well. I liked Independence Day I do not believe in Aliens though...
The actors are: Will Smith, Jeff Goldblum and Vivica A Fox.
Well done doggy!

Iron Man (2008)

I like that kind of movies as well. I could not put Iron Man on the side. I like all the marvels and X Men.
Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark (Iron Man)
I like all the transformations! I am like wow!!
Good job! I like all the Iron Man series.

Unfortunately I cannot put all my favorites movies. This is the last one that I like and that I share with you:Transformers! yes I like Transformers!
Transformers (2007 / 2014)
I like Transformers!! I must say that whenever I watch this kind of movies I am always impressed. The engineers I mean all the people who made them did a great job for real! Good transformations! Great imagination! Bravo!
That one is even more impressive ! I like this part with Shia Leboeuf!
THE END

I hope you had a little bit of fun and good memories! I also hope that you liked this post!
Thank you for reading and watching!

Celebrating Women Day

Malala Yousafzai (Received last year The Nobel Peace Prize)
From what I have seen so far and this is my opinion there are three social issues that divide (destroy, separate) the world or Human race for many years now: Race, gender and religion.
This is really sad... Sometimes I read some comments on social media and I am like: "Wow people still think like that in 2015. What a shame!" It is really special to see people being divided for such things when they have been living together for centuries and the media are not helping either. It looks like human race likes to discriminate and the problem of prejudice is above all...That's just me thinking. Sometimes when I fill up some information and I am asked what race are you? Well it happens that I put: "prefer not to say" because I don't see the point for me to tell you my race. Maybe sometimes it can be important information but most of the times I feel like it does not help. What difference it makes if I am Black or White or yellow or...I don't know why they ask it or  about my skin color or...Really I don't see the point. I am a good human being and that's all matter to me!        Imagine a world where everybody looks the same do the same things how boring it would be. Thanks God He never thought this way because He created these difference of gender and race on purpose. Unfortunately, many people do not see it as something beautiful once again this is really sad for human kind. If you are not this or that  then you are not good enough...hum...Like really?!
I used to follow this flow years ago and being wash brained by everything that I read but now I am careful and refuse to play this game. The person in front of me is a human being like me. There is no race just the Human race and I made the decision to respect and treat people with dignity and I will respect all the person that I will meet no matter their social class or race or religion. I believe in what the Bible teaches me if I love God than I should love my neighbor and it's simple. The point of my post today is Women International Day. For some reasons I have been thinking a lot about women in general and I have to say I am so glad God made me a woman and I will not trade this gender  because I realized that women are the strongest and the most beautiful creature that He has wonderfully created.
I want to start by saying that I am not an activist or whatsoever people call. I am not judging any countries or people's opinion. I am just a woman who expresses  what other women feel in general. I might not know all and what they are all going through because the culture, the tradition the law the rules differ from a country to another. We celebrate women today the 8th of March but I think we should celebrate women everyday because of who they are. I recently purchased a book about woman. Why did I decide to buy this book? Because I watched the news and read articles everyday and I can see injustice done to women it has been this way for many years but these questions became so strong in my mind. Then, It made me thought why God created women? What is their role in our society  (Our role as women) and many other questions. I also started questioning facts or events that happen around the world. So far, I got some answers and I think this book makes me proud to be woman. Women should definitely read it. I purchased it on amazon.com
"Understanding the Purpose and Power of Woman" Dr. Myles Munroe
Women have not been treated fairly throughout the centuries this is my opinion and it is even worse in some countries of the world. Those countries use religion to justify the way women are treated when in fact God has never said that women are inferior to men (Which lead to the conclusion and truth that God has never created religion. Religion is an invention of men to manipulate others. I believe in God personally I am Christian not religious.) God has never said that women should be locked up in houses and not having dreams. Women were created equal to men since they came out of men yet they still see some of their rights denied to them. Fighting for these rights do not seem to end now especially in some countries of the world. Those rights that they should have as any human being.
I recently read two articles and it touched me so much. When you are a woman you cannot be indifferent because that could be me or somebody else that I like or know. Sexual harassment in the streets with no punishment still happens in 2015 in some places I mean maybe everywhere in the world but done differently. In the article a lady wore a body armor to protest against such practice in Kabul/Afghanistan. Here is the link: http://www.barenakedislam.com/2015/03/06/afghanistan-kabul-woman-wears-body-armor-to-protest-constant-sexual-harassment-by-men-in-the-streets/
What she did really got my attention. Through this act she showed to the world how brave and courageous she is and she set an example to others. The truth is, it happens also in other countries in the world. We sometimes do not talk a lot about that because it sounds like we are now used to it or because it's so much that nobody complains about that anymore so we just deal with it when in fact we should not.

The other article that I read is about a man pleading not guilty in India after a rape and killing a young woman. Instead of feeling guilty he blamed the victim....Whoa!! That was shocking and that is what some women are going through: http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/04/world/asia/delhi-gang-rape-mukesh-singh.html?_r=0
In Africa, especially in some countries at war and I assume it also happens in other continents, women and children are first victims. Women are rapped and killed. Unfortunately, there is no Law to prohibit such violence done to them. If these kind of laws  exist they are probably not enforced. Recently in Congo DRC it was found that 48 women are rapped every hours according to a study. It is shocking and horrible to read it! http://www.theguardian.com/world/2011/may/12/48-women-raped-hour-congo
These are just few examples but there are more than that!
Women are victims of domestic violence everyday. How about those who are victims of excision and usually people who do that use religion to justify these evil acts. How can we explain that? No religion no ideology of whatsoever should encourage these kind of treatment toward women. Real men know how to treat women with dignity, love and respect and that is mostly what women simply ask in general. I am deeply against violence done to women and children!
Picture from Al Jazeera.com (domestic violence)
Even though they go through all these humiliation and violence they remain the good mother and the good submissive wife at home. This is really touching how faithful beings they are! That is why I believe that women are stronger than men emotionally even if physically they look different.
I  was shocked when I first saw that picture below. I wonder who can do such evil act to a human being? What kind of religion allows it?? That's the kind of picture that really upsets me! How can we be indifferent?
I like to share this quote as well because that is a true fact
People say it has been better since but I do not believe so. I was shocked to find out that women weren't paid the same salaries than men just because of the gender.
Something that I remember during the Academy Awards ceremony, Patricia Arquette said something about equal wages and equal rights for women in America when she received her Oscar last month (I didn't write about the Academy Awards this year). We even saw Meryl Streep who stood up to support this part of her speech and I totally agree with her. Her speech moved me and I hope people heard this call for action. I have the link of it here if you want to listen to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZeV9Sm3ywM
Do you also remember the president's speech on equal pay? This is not me...That's the president himself.
http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2014/04/08/fact-sheet-expanding-opportunity-all-ensuring-equal-pay-women-and-promot
Well, to tell the truth, I was surprised to hear those words "Equal Pay" because I have always thought that democratic countries do not deal with such issues. I have always assumed that in democratic countries  everybody was equal compared to countries like mine why? because of the word democracy. Then, I finally realized that the so called "Democracy" is just a word at least to some extent. It's interesting to see the limits of governments in the world made by humans. When we do not sick help or wisdom from God then, we will definitely have some limits. This is not a statement too religious it is a fact and a truth. Here are few practical examples: If your car needs to be repaired you will need help from a professional  mechanic and it makes sense right? Or if for instance you buy a computer from a specific brand and that computer for some reasons does not work you will have to bring it back to the company that made it because they know how to repair it. It's the same thing for us Humans we definitely need God in every aspects of our lives because He created us. It's so simple.

Back to the subject of this post about women, it 's really sad that some men still do not understand that women are mothers, wives, workers, sisters daughters all in one. They clearly contribute in our society as well. They give life, they nurture  and they support. Today a woman has a baby boy in her arms and this little boy will be a man and my question is: will that same boy who will become a man will have respect for women tomorrow?  Usually I like to ask to some male friends or acquaintances who like to play with women's feelings : "Would you like to see your sister being treated the same way you do by another man as well?" It's just a question.
In  some countries of the world women are even traded as sex slaves or they have no right to Education, no freedom of speech and they cannot complain.  Yet they still fulfill their roles in their families. In other places women are used as sexual objects just because they were born women. What is wrong with you men?  Can you create a male or female human? Whoa! How sad is it!? We are in 2015 and it still happens. Where are those men who will stand and set some good examples? where are the men who will not be too proud to show love and respect to women?  Yes, Young girls need to get access to Education no matter what. Knowing that education is the only way out of oppressed system for women especially. My dad used to tell me  school is important and I understand it more today. I liked Malala's speech when she received her Nobel Peace Prize last year. I am not pointing some people or criticizing cultures or whatsoever. I am just against abuse done on women and girls. I feel the same way about people like the so called Boko Haram  (This group) who is threating many countries in Africa. What a shame! I am so done with such evil acts and they justify what they do for religion as if  they are doing it for a good cause (Really Boko Haram!? Do you really think that God supports your actions?)
And you African presidents we are waiting on you to do your part. It's been a long time now that this man and his group of men are devastating villages, rapping and killing women and children. What are you waiting for?)
Stop abusing women!

Last year I posted this TV commercial that I really liked on my timeline twice on Facebook and I commented:" Go woman! Go!" Then, I was asked if I was a feminist? Hum...Let me think...Is it bad to be a feminist if I happened to be one? The things that I like about that commercial is the way that woman is pictured: She is a responsible mother, she drops her daughter at school, she has a nice car and you can tell she has a good job. She looks really confident and not impressed by this group of men around. I didn't see anything wrong with it at all. Instead I thought that commercial really inspired me that's why I commented "Go woman! Go!".
It looks like she (Stacey's mom) had it all! Right!? So...What's wrong with it? Or..Ok! How about adding that she is a good wife as well? Because it sounds like...some people didn't like that commercial for some reasons...Anyway...
My conclusion for this post will be Happy International Women Day! I just expressed my thoughts and people do not have to agree with me and that's ok because we don't have to agree with everything right? Yet, Women still have to fight for their rights and I hope things will be different in the years to come. I also hope that more men will support this battle for equality. I also hope that we, women will be more compassionate to each other (it's really important).
My last words are: I believe in Education for women and I definitely support it.
I support the fact that women can be independent and  achieve their dreams and a successful career.
I am also  fine with us women being good wives respecting their husbands. I support the fact that women must be good mothers and good workers with responsibilities. I also support equal wages and equal rights for everybody.
We, women should not accept some false statements or whatsoever type of things that do make us think or feel that we are inferior to men because it is not true at all. We are Strong human being as much as they are, wonderfully made by God and we are also the backbone of the society.
Thank you for reading!

Peace and Love! I didn't write this post so... Guess who did it? She did!!! (The lady bear in front of me)
(Remembering all the women in History who impacted this world)
 And that's true.

My Favorites of the Month

This is a nice picture! I love it!
I can't wait for the Spring time any longer!
Hi! Everyone
How are you doing? Good I hope! Well I am fine and it's been a cold weather so far here.
It's march and it's the month for women I have a post coming by the 8th or the 9th I am so busy sometimes I feel lazy (Smile) I have my own things to do but its always good to write or share things with you. For the 8th I just want to share some thoughts about the issues that women are still facing I know some men will not agree with some of my opinions but that's ok we don't have to agree on everything. From that coming post, I also want to celebrate women in general.
We had some days of snow in a row. It sometimes stuck main activities in the city but that's ok! Everything is fine because winter is a part of our lives on earth (Smile) There are days like that!! It didn't stop me taking pictures at all! I like pictures! We had two weeks of grey sky with rain and yesterday there was this nice sun and I felt it was a great sunny day.  When I woke up in the morning I saw some snow on my balcony and that beautiful sun in the sky I was so thankful that God thought about me the girl from the "Sunny Continent" (Smile) I quickly opened the bay window of my bedroom I needed that. Then, I had an imagination: Yes! I thought about my vase with my nice flowers and the new candle that I recently bought few days ago. A special one I will explain why and it gave this picture below!
On my bedroom's balcony
Why my candle? Because when I was looking through the door, I saw that nice sun and the snow then I heard in my mind that Elton John's famous song:" The Candle in the Wind."
He performed that song at princess Diana's funeral as well (No idea of death here just a feeling of peace and serenity). Do you like that song too!? (Hello! London by the way) This is such a beautiful song! So I put my candle in the wind and it gave this simple picture
Unfortunately you can't see the little flame burning...sorry I wish you could. Few minutes after the wind blew on it and the little flame completely disappeared but that was ok...Sometimes I feel like life is like a candle. You know how I love candles I found that special one online. It is so natural and it burns well. As I am writing now I have two of them burning yes I love it!
Elton John "Candle in The Wind"
This is just a simple post. I Just wanted to share with you few things that I call "My Favorites of the Month". I unintentionally found them and I ended up liking them. Not expensive at all but nice little things for women.
I also went to Sephora to have a little bit of fun! I needed to change my mind sometimes you feel like things can be boring and that 's when you need to think about doing something special or different. I made an appointment for learning a little bit more about how to do my own make up at home.
The make up artist was so nice! She was such a nice young lady and she made me feel so comfortable and she hugged me so many times and gave me some goodies at the end (Smiley!!!). She showed me some nice cosmetic products for women and I loved the brands. I particularly like the TCHATCHA one and Ole Heriksen sheer transformation . she told me that TCHATCHA is from Japan and it is adapted for all type of skins. I tried the rice powder which exfoliates the skin it's really good! Well interesting! Without women in this world I am sure there would be some limited number of businesses. No women no business for sure! I ended up buying two main make up items. I have to admit that NARS foundation is perfect! I loved it right away! I also got the Cover Fix set of contouring. She showed me some little tricks but I have to say it's a lot to do! Sometimes I don't mind staying natural (laughing) Conclusion: I had a nice day and I will go back there again for sure! Thank you Sephora! I was happy when I left the store and you definitely made my day!
About the items:
I don't know if it's "good" English to say I discover this candle or this product whatever it is because saying it has a sense in French.. In French it's ok to say I discovered this or that. ok! I wanted to say that I "discovered" this nice natural candle. I love the package and it smells so good!! The company selling them is River Valley Soaps. Here is the link if you are interested: http://www.rivervalleysoaps.com/
They make organic soaps as well. I got two from them because I wanted to try and I like them so far.
At night I like to feel relaxed so I have my candle burning (No worries, I am really careful). Why is it special is the ingredients that they use to make them and the wood stick (you saw it in the picture). Really special you can see and hear how the little wood is burning
I simply love it! These are the organic soaps I share a picture for you to see how they look like( One is made with lavender and the other with peppermint) and guys see how they look natural

the candle package. That smells so good too!
  Lavender and peppermint my favorites!
I like the Lancôme Fraichelle (gel douche for shower) I hope I am not addicted to it because I like it so much! It smells so good so fresh as well as the crème radiance for the face. Sometimes I put few drops of lavender essential oil in my shower gel and it smells awesome and you feel so relaxed after a long day!
My Lancôme Fraichelle and crème radiance for cleaning face.
I wanted to get the two magazines with two of my favorite actresses on the cover: Kerry Washington and Lupita Nyong'o. For some reasons I like to read what they do and I like their work.
Kerry Washington

Lupita Nyongo

I was glad I bought the two magazines but I must say I really like the "Instyle" one because it was fuller than Lucky Magazine and it has so many interesting articles as well. I love Kerry Washington she is successful and gorgeous Black woman so is Lupita Nyongo a Kenyan born young and successful actress.
Lupita 'story inspired me so much two years ago and she won an Oscar last year. She made young African women like me believing in their dreams. Yes it is still possible guys! Never give up!
I once again purchased the same box of essential oils. I had last year for Xmas. It looks like I like that brand more than the others...It is always useful at home!
Edens garden, essential oils
My other favorites are these two African bracelets! I like them. They are made with an ankara fabric.
Ankara fabric is from Africa and I also got a piece of it online and I love the colors! I sometimes like to have it with me I guess as an African woman is important to have at least one at home and that's my thoughts (lol!) It is not a must but it helped me many times when I had to share my culture to few friends who were curious to learn a little bit about me and my country. Two years ago I made a bag with the Ankara fabric but different happy colors and design. It's really original!
I got them from Zabba Design. I was desperately looking for African stores here and I could not find them. Later I saw their website: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ZabbaDesigns?ref=l2-shopheader-name
They make shoes, earrings, dresses, purses etc. Simple but really nice!
A friend of mine once asked me how do we dress in Africa? The question was interesting because there are so many countries which means different cultures, tribes and languages. The way we dress are all different but we also dress in a western style. In Africa women like Fashion too! It can be from Europe, America, Asia's fashion...For instance, I love traditional women clothes of women from India. I dream to buy some of them someday.
We mostly like fashion from our own style as well and I love that diversity. Women in West Africa will not dress the same way than those from Central Africa. It can happen but it is not common. Women in East part of the continent or the South have different style as well. What I like is our originality. We are different in our style and we are original! I definitely going to have a Summer vacation in my continent soon I want to visit most countries in West Africa first.
So, I wanted to wear my Ankara once I received it and I took few pictures with it but this is a really small example because they are many other ways to wear scarf in Africa.( Sorry about that I will share pictures of that in next posts especially when I will go on vacation.)
Actually it was a real coincidence because when I wanted to put my head wrap on and I found out that we were asked yesterday (to all women) to wear some head wraps to honor Women of the world. Remember we are in March! It was a good coincidence actually! For some reasons I wanted to wear it see? I am connected to my women' sisters of the world. (Smile) So I did it in different ways! I took the pictures myself so they are just the way they are. I am not a professional.
This is for all the women of the world! I dedicate you these pictures (smiling)
So the first one gave me this:
The second way gave me this:
Ok! That's for the scarf! What about what we, women like to do in my country or in Africa in general. We like to tight it on the side of the hip and it gives that:
From the side to the front!
It is fast and easy this way. In any circumstances usually at home.
My dress that I showed last year I like it is really comfortable. I can go out for shopping or to the park or something like that. On the dress they put some pearl made with wood on it.
We like dresses! The design, the color I like everything about it
Women like to put the piece of fabrics on their back or cover themselves a lot!
In the village they do the same as well because at night the air is so chilly a little bit cold and also we don't like insects so we have to cover ourselves I love it! If we had someone telling us some nice tales we will be sitting out under the tree but we needed to be covered. Usually people would make a fire somewhere and it warms us. That was the best time of my life!
I also saw women in West Africa doing the same thing and usually children liked it a lot! We can carry a child on our back with a good piece of fabric. My mum did that to me sometimes when she was so busy and I will do the same to my children as well. it is a culture lol!
Look! I am kindly  covered!
Ok! That is pretty much all about the Ankara fabric. I always like to share what we have whenever I can.
The last thing I wanted to share and that is again a coincidence. I bought two books few days ago from the same author. I decided to buy one of them specifically because what I read on the news made me think a lot about the issues that women are dealing with around the world and the way they are treated. I started wondering why women were created? How to explain all these inequalities toward women? and many other questions. The book is really interesting. I witnessed injustice done to women and it's common yet they are still faithful in their role as mothers, wives, coworkers, sisters, daughters. That's a lot a on a plate and many men still don't understand it. Instead they choose to use them, mistreat them, torture them for some of them....And some also forbid them to get Education. In this century what a tragedy! This is not only an issue of women in Africa but also in other continents. How can we explain that women are paid less than men just because of their gender when they do the same work? People should really stop this injustice
Dr. Myles Munroe did a great job in the way he shared his knowledge and I am still reading the book. Women and men were created equal. Women have their role and their place in this society and I believe in equal rights for both, same opportunities and access to Education for every women. Women are special human beings. I will definitely do a review on this book  the title is: "Understanding The Purpose and Power of Woman" . Women you have power so be careful of how you use it especially if you are internationally known. Unfortunately some women who are celebrities do not carry a good image of women. They tend to favor the sexual aspect only by dressing in a certain way etc. and it is sad because there are many women out there who are working so hard to maintain our image of being proud gender and an important pillar of the society. I just started reading this book and I have some questions already answered a little by little. Like he mentioned on the cover of  it: "This book is for women and for men who love them." ( I think men who love and respect women in general)
The other book is from the same well known author. A successful man  his speeches and teachings have really changed my mind a lot in a positive way. The way I used to think about certain things has been transformed since last year. The other book's title is "The Spirit of Leadership" I read a little bit the summary of the book and it sounds interesting a lot!
I don't know why I decided to purchase this book I guess the word leadership has always attracted me. Beside, I also believe that women can be good leaders as well. Women have contributed a lot for our world. I like when he said that everyone is born with a spirit of leadership but many did not have the opportunity to express or show it. I always thought that being a leader has something to do with your personality like if you are introvert or extrovert. I also thought that people are called leader when they have many people following them. No, I had the wrong concept of the word leadership and I am curious to learn what he wrote about it. I will have a  review on this book as well. I intend to buy few other books from the same author.
For now I am done with this post. Thank you for reading! See you for the Women's day.
I just wanted to share this beautiful song of Cheb Khaled a great singer from Algeria (North Africa). He has always been one of my favorite African singers.  Khaled introduced to the world what we call Rai which is a traditional music from Algeria.
That song "Aicha" particularly whenever I hear and listen to it, it always moves me a lot because of the lyrics. Thank you Cheb Khaled for that song because you gave respect and dignity to women through that song. You understood what women need and want.
This is for the Women of the world. Thank you!
Cheb Khaled "Aicha" (1996) /Composition: JJ Goldman
