Life Goes On

It's almost the end of April! I can't believe days are flying so fast. "Life Goes On" and I am glad the month of May is coming soon. The sun is clearly out and the trees with flowers are everywhere in the streets of the city. I hope to go on vacation out of country this time this coming month I really need to change a little bit. I like and I need to see something different and I need to be close to my family as well. I miss them so much but I still have a lot to do before leaving. It looks like this year I have written more than the previous years. I remember the first time I decided to write I was reluctant because I was not sure that I could write a paragraph in English that could make sense especially that I got no help. Nobody was in fact available. I needed somebody to show me what and how to do you know, something like that but at least to correct my mistakes but...That's ok! I am doing things on my own...(as usual)... I will simply learn from my mistakes. Today, I feel like I made some progress yes, some baby steps. Talking about baby steps two of my close friends just became happy mothers. They welcomed their first babies that means that I am auntie twice! Yes, it's all about Baby Love ( a boy and a girl) There is another one on the way probably a boy.

I am in the mood of vacations already. What about you? What are you going to do this Summer?
I am dancing already because I can say "Vive les Vacances!!" That was an expression we used to say in French when we were young and school was over! The teachers could be talking we had no more time to listen to them because it was the end of classes and usually the parents were coming to pick up their children and we usually say: " Goodbye class! I am going on vacation to X place" and the teacher would say: "Ok class say goodbye to X and the class said Goodbye X! Happy vacations!" It would be students after students leaving...I miss those good times!
Now I am grown up and my parent do no longer organize my vacations. I do everything on my own and I think it is even more fun because I can do whatever I want. For this year, I know I will do something different I will be a little bit more adventurous! I will try to take many pictures as much as I can this time

I try to make a video that I put below. I like the pictures that I chose for it. Like I say I am in the mood of vacations!

Pascal Obispo is a great French singer. I like that song really much! It just brings some good memories!
Few years ago I wrote a post on Paris but next time I will do better than that.
By the time I am getting ready, at home in my free times, I listen to music from my favorite singers as usual
Guess Who is the cute guy on my computer screen singing? I like to watch my selection of music videos at home in my bedroom.
I miss this man  I miss the artist so much!
Great lyrics! Good video clip!
Here we go again MJ in Moscow dancing in front of the Kremlin. Do you remember his song: "Stranger in Moscow"? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEEMi2j6lYE
I love and love this song I don't know why. Whenever I am in the train or somewhere out I like to listen to that song in my earphones. Usually during Winter this is my favorite song out and seeing people walking and wearing their coat in the grey weather, made that song more original to me. I close my eyes when I sit in the metro then in my mind I imagine that I am in Moscow (Ok! Don't make fun of me that's the way I am.) The part that I dislike is when the police come and ask for the ticket when I was already dreaming . It is so refreshing and relaxing at the same time! I just wonder what the man who speaks in Russian says at the end of the video clip.
Ok! Enough with Moscow! I guess I am dreaming about this city too much now That's because of this song. Yes, "A Stranger in Moscow." I guess I should go and visit Moscow someday.

I try to relax after a long day.  I can be reading the News and Magazines whenever I can .I also collect nice pictures in my folder. This is something that I have always liked to do since I was a child...I like pictures! I barely watch TV these past few years because it feels like it's the same thing most of the time. The weather is good outside it is sunny so sometimes it's good to walk in the neighborhood or in the park That's pretty much what I do.
Look at the picture that somebody shared on google. I like this Puppy! Such a cute baby in the blanket. I just want to play with her tummy wummy! Look! she is smiling! (ok...well from this position I cannot tell exactly if it is a girl or a boy)  but can you see her nose? How cute it is! She looks like a doll.
I also found that picture from Ghana Fashion Magazine. This is a beautiful African model. I like this picture! I found it inspiring because it means everything about women in general and Black women specifically. I have always been a passionate of Fashion pictures
The picture below is about the Fashion designer Roberto Cavalli's dress. The dress with the zebra stripes is so nice so is the romance between the two characters. It's Perfect! Excellent!

I went out of town and I was glad because I wanted to do something different I needed it. I got few items too. I got me some new candles and the ones that I usually buy! I needed some and I wanted to try new scents from Bath & Body Works.
So Ladies, I got the coconut leaves scent. It smells like coconut.
I like it
The next one has good ocean smell but I really feel like it is kind of a male taste for the scent but  I still like it It smells good
The other new one that I got: It is the scent of Mahogany Teakwood. I like it too! I was not used to the Mahogany but I like it so far.
Well thank you Bath& Body Works!! I have to say you make the best candles ever!
Other new things:
Ok, I was minding my business as usual until I found myself accidentally in an event for ladies and some people were selling natural or handcraft products. I like natural things but I was surprised the things that they were selling have such good prices so I decided to buy to try them at home. You know women...We like trying new things and it does not happen every time.
So I got these two candles made in Texas
Yes I like candles!! They were not expensive at all!
at home I put my candles
Then, I got the Shea by Shellie cosmetic products ( she was really nice):  Natural. good and affordable and I like everything : Sugar scrub, shea butter with mango, lavender and orange for the skin
I might keep some for my mum as well. She will like them.
I am also glad because the day after I got some nice lady shoes . Some women says doing or having shoes haul...I don't know if it is the same thing here. I am not too much into shoes collection but I know some women they have an entire room of shoes. I don't think I can reach this level. This is too much for me! Ok!  I liked the prices and the quality. I needed new ones and I thought they look good!
It also seems like for Summer the trend is wearing the espadrilles. Yes, the espadrilles are back! I will definitely get some when I will go on vacation. They are really comfortable you can walk good distance with them and still look girlie/lady.
Nice picture! Nice espadrilles with different colors! I miss wearing them.
I guess this Summer is all about shoes to me this time.
Usually I like creativity and doing things a little bit different. So, I thought I could share the ones that I just got in a different way to entertain a little bit and this is what I made up with my pictures:
For my make up collection I just added this Bronzer I also got some new make up brushes

and I wanted to try this Mac lipstick "Landy Danger". Mac has nice lipsticks.I am not used to that new color but  I want to try and I bought it because I found it was nice. I found this picture original
The color looks like this picture below. It's a little bit orange. I am used to the nice red of Ruby Woo from Mac but that one is new to me. I didn't try it yet I keep it for the moment but I will definitely use it soon! I will maybe become a Lady Danger this Summer too lol! Next time I will put a picture of me with this lipstick for sure!
Life Goes on and I really needed to break from the previous post. I needed to write a post different than the last one. The pictures of people being burnt or victims of aggression are awful.
I usually do not post this kind of thing but when it is necessary to say something according to me I will not hesitate to share my opinions or my thoughts.
I am not perfect I try to do what I think is right. I might be right or wrong but still I believe that human lives have no price even when it's only one (Does it make sense in English? What I meant is like you can't put a price on human lives because it is more than that.) You can
This is the end of this month of April hopefully things will get better in their country.
I invite you to visit my other link here: http://patacolorcarnet.weebly.com/carnet-de-voyage
This is also the end of this post I want to end it on a happy note with this old clip. Souvenir Daffy Duck!. Thank you for reading.

A Little Bit of Sunshine!!

Hello Mr. Sun! Hello Spring time! Hello blue sky! Hello birds!  Hello flowers! (Especially Japanese Blossom trees!)
I thought about this song when I left home yesterday. I saw the sun and the blue sky and I heard like "Here Comes the Sun..: For some reasons, I like to listen to this song with my earphones. I love that song! The first time I heard "Here Comes The Sun" of the Beatles  it was some years ago I was in a gas station I was buying something to drink then I heard the song on the radio I was like: " wow! Cool The Beatles! Such a beautiful song!"  I asked the cashier to play it again she smiled at me and she said: "Alright! Girl!"
Once at home I searched for the song and here again I played "Here comes the Sun" in my bedroom. Yes, I like some songs of the Beatles not all but some of them. This picture is so nice! I don't know where they are but I like it and  Paul McCartney walking naked feet in the street, I thought it was so original! (You want to see me dancing that song? Not difficult at all! Lol!)
Yes! Bye Mr. Winter! You don't know how happy I am no more snow for the moment. The cold weather is not too good for me. I got sick twice within two months stuck in my bed. Once I thought it was so bad I could not make anything to eat or go to the pharmacy. I prayed and I had to call a close friend of mine to come to help me. He was so nice! He went to the pharmacy for me and made me a hot cocoa the way I like and something to eat. I am so thankful for that. Then, He made sure I was fine and he left (yep...that is the sad part of being single but...it's ok because I got better few days later Thanks God!)
Whenever I am sick I understand how being  healthy means. O! No I don't want to take good health for granted. I bless God whenever I can: When I walk and do my own stuff I am grateful. I can see, I can jump I can listen to music. It's good to be alive!
I remember years ago I don't recall when exactly I was sleeping to relax a little bit. It was an afternoon and I heard a little voice singing down the building. It was a little girl in the park and she kept saying a part of the song that I like (Celine Dion "I am Alive") She kept repeating this part: I am alive. Then I thought "Yes and it's good to be! It's good to know!" when I opened the windows to see the little girl singing I could not because she was under the trees I could just see her little feet running around. Well, the day after I bought that complete album CD of that song (Celine Dion is one of my favorite female singers) because I was thankful to realize the meaning of the lyrics. (Thank you little girl!)

I love that song so much and it's been years now but I still feel the same way. That plane in the clip is awesome because it's like living a life with no limits and no barriers (Ooops! Sorry nuns, sorry people, I was just flying my way).  Whenever I listen to Celine 'songs I always get something special I can tell she is a good person. Thank you Celine Dion! Wonderful lyrics! I understand that I should be happy anytime I mean, my name means "Greater Joy" so why should I be sad? No way!
Last time I listened to Dr. Munroe saying something important and I got so touched. He said that it is not about the length of life that we have but the quality of life. I try to explain it the simple way I can: You can have a long life and not be productive at all. However, you can have a short life and you can be really productive. I was thinking about that young man who died in 1990 He died at an early age. Ryan White did a great thing before he died and what he said touched me. Ryan White that MJ sang "Gone Too Soon" I really like what He said in the TV show and we are still dealing with the same issues today... It's amazing to hear such a young man being wise. He did not live long but what he left is so amazing! The Ryan White Care Act it helps many today. I am not sure he saw it before he died. Such a great young man! If You want to see the video here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGX7iUS9hzI .
His story made me think  and I tried to read more about that young man.  His mother was recently on TV to talk about the Ryan White Foundation. At the end, I realized these words that Dr. Munroe said it is not about the length it's about the quality of life and what we ought to bring to people or have brought to them. Your talent and your gift are supposed to change others' lives but always remember that we cannot compare somebody else success to ours. In term of success, we are all different. Thanks God our stories are all different right? (I just want to add something between: "Women do not compare your men or husbands to another man...This is Not Good at all! Just be the women who give the words of encouragement and who care and love")
I believe that Life and Love are the two best things given by God and I am so thankful. This world would be horrible without Love. Thanks God there are still amazing and loving people around us. When I talk about Love it's the one that is presented in my Holy Bible:" Love forgives, Love supports Love does this and that. This is the real Love. It's in the book of  Galatians 5;22  and the book of 1 Corinthians13; 4-7 The greatest Love of all.

Anyway! Back to my springtime. It's so good it's not cold anymore. Hello Good time! Hello nice weather! Hello sunshine! Hello to the squirrels with different furs and running everywhere and digging I don't know what really but it's cute to see. Bye winter for the moment! I need a little bit of sun in my life!
The weekend was great! I like to chill at home and listen to music and reading magazines as usual. Yes! That's so me! I share with you one of my favorite songs of The Supremes "Someday" I love the lyrics. Sorry I didn't put the entire song I did it on purpose but if you want to listen to all the song; "Someday" we Will be together" (nice words of hope and love)  you can click here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXGz8i0I2L0 (Diana Ross & The Supremes) The Supremes was a great Female group and are still... Best vocals ever!
Chilling at home I was listening to that song that I love so much! (By the way I have a post that I write as a tribute to Diana Ross. I like this lady! If you are interested to read here is the link: http://patacolorcarnet.blogspot.com/2014/11/diana.html when you have time)

I was thinking I want to show you Dallas! Yes! Dallas that nice city in Texas where I live. I think I should do a post so that you will visit the city through my blog with me. I will  take you to JFK Memorial, Rosa Parks Square etc. You will love Dallas for sure! I love Dallas! There is a special restaurant in a ball above the city and it has nice lights at night. Come to visit us sometimes and see our basket ball team the  Mavericks! Ok! ok some people do not like the Mavericks but what about Dallas Cowboys then? Ok! I will do something like that when I have time. Such a good idea I am already excited!

This is a nice quote of Mother Teresa that I want to share. I found it so interesting, inspiring and real. Take a time to read it when you can and think about what she says:
"People are often unreasonable and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of ulterior motives. Be kind anyway.
If you are honest, people may cheat you. Be honest anyway.
If you find happiness, people may be jealous. Be happy anyway.
The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway.
For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway."
That is So true Mother Teresa! these are the best words ever!
I wanted to share some other things again. You know I share to people what I find or discover. I like it! Remember I am "Miss Candles" and I always say that a house with no candles is a little bit boring.  So these are the new candles that I got:
From Bath and Body Works : The Relax, The Eucalyptus Mint and the Brazilian Waters. They smell so Good!!
The other one from Bath and Body Works is: Fresh Water and Sea Salt. O God! It's like Heaven scent! For real!
and the Aromatherapy for  stress relief with Eucalyptus and spearmint that one is so so good! The blue one is Fresh candle. I don't know the scent but it is good. I change and put the ones I want depending on the day and my mood. I also put them in the different rooms no worries everything is safe and I am careful. Bath and Body Works you are the best!

Lush is a store that sells only natural products and I am into organic and natural things these past few years and I got: a skin conditioner and two shower gel. I like them all! I didn't know about body conditioner I was curious to try and I must say I love it! The body conditioner smells like strawberries! The lady at the store was so nice and she gave me to try the carrot soap sample and the banana body cream sample... I will definitely go back there.

Since it is spring time I thought I could change my perfume so I have this one from Lancôme, Tresor.(I like Lancôme!) Who is the tresor? Me! (Smiling) I like the container or bottle it is so fancy and nice. I thought it looks like my personality and it smells really good! Not too strong but fresh and simple.

I got a new book too! By the way I am still reading the other ones but I was thinking should I really write a review? Because I am not that good in English yet and I do not want to put the wrong words. What I think I should do it's to simply share some parts that have changed something on the way I used to understand certain things.

Something else guys! I recently discovered this group online! The name is Rooftop Salsa Dance. It's probably recent because I have never heard about them before. Yes! That's what I like! This is good for Summer time! They are in Johannesburg/South Africa and they organize some dances. It's about salsa dances and songs from Africa and Latin America. I like group dances because you do not feel like you are the one who do not know how to dance and everybody can be happy at the same time. What I read is they are in an area of Johannesburg named Mellville. I know this area is safe because I used to live not far from there.
So much fun guys! After watching their videos and visiting their website, it made me want to go there like really just spend good time no excess but just good time! I hope I will be able to do it someday. What I understand is they meet they dance and they can invite some salsa artists as well. See? In Africa we know how to have fun too (wink!)
In that video they dance a song of an African singer from Nigeria or Ghana his name is Flavour
That's what I am talking about!
The song that they dance in the second video is from Michel Telo  "Pego" I think Michel Telo is from Brazil and I remember I heard his song for the first time on TV during the World Cup of soccer in Brazil. Yes, he sings in Portuguese. I liked the song right away! Maybe you remember that song too. Awww! I simply love watching this video! You can tell they had so much fun! Life is Good!!
There are many others. You can see their website and like their Facebook page. Maybe someday you will go there who knows? http://www.rooftopsalsa.com/home
Check it out!
Now that I am done for tonight I was thinking about sharing something special with you again.
Guys please take a time to watch this nice performance when you will have time. I don't know if you like Andre Rieu? Me, I do and I know many people do too. I think Andre Rieu is from Germany right?  If by chance he performs in your city DO NOT hesitate to buy a ticket to go to see him! You will not be disappointed at all! I wish he could come to Dallas too. That man is wonderful so talented and you can tell he has a Good Heart! I like people with good heart because what they do always bring joy in people's lives. His music has healed many people (Medical condition you know what I mean).
I love Music I mean Good music and I have always said that I grew up with music and I dream to have children who can play at least one music instrument. Imagine a house with kids playing piano, or flutes or violin, or drums etc. That's a house of love! I always thank God for talents in the world and Music in general. Life with no music it's boring!
In fact, I discovered Andre Rieu with my brother. The first time he shared to me his performances "I melt" like an ice cream. I love what he does. If you want to feel relaxed at home take a time to watch his performances that he did around the world they are on internet and some videos are in youtube.com as well. He is really good, he is talented and funny he likes to make people laugh. He and his orchestra travel a lot around the world and he meets many other different artists from different countries.
In that presentation he invited a choir of children from Cape town/ South Africa to play with him and his amazing orchestra. They also sang "Pata Pata" a famous song of Miriam Makeba released in 1967. Yes, every Africans know Pata Pata song it's actually a dance from Johannesburg.  They also sang  this famous song "The Lion Sleep Tonight". I literally fell in love with that presentation or performance. To me Music is Everything! I love my African culture for real!
I hope you like it! so  Live in Maastricht from Netherlands watch that beautiful performance. Thank you for passing by! Have a great week!

I Am Kenyan

I just wanted to write a little post about what happened recently in Kenya 148 students were killed. I don't know if I should post the pictures ...Those pictures shocked me I don't think I should. There is a lot to say about this evil act but I am not a specialist when it comes to analyze such situation but clearly Christians are no longer safe in this world. We should pray for Christians. Second thing that I notice is that the issue of terrorism is spreading. It looks like nobody has control over it and probably our world is no longer safe...I don't know... I am just sharing my thoughts. This is the last thing that Africa needs right now.
People of Kenya I just want you to know that you are not alone in this pain. Africa is supporting you. We cry with you we mourn with you. What happened to you can happen anywhere else in the continent and in the world. I read there will be three days of mourning so our prayers and thoughts go to families who lost their children.
Really sad pictures...

After reading what this jihadist group of terrorists did in a Christian University at Garissa in Kenya as African, I could not be indifferent. I am so touched about this recent news. It is so sad to read that African people are killing each other for reasons that really....Are there any reasons to kill innocents? Once again my thoughts and prayers go to Kenyan families. This is Such an evil act!
I am surprised to see no words of support, no reactions from other African "leaders" or "presidents". Most Africans are waiting to hear from their "presidents".
Few months ago dear African  "leaders" you went to France to walk for freedom of speech (A Freedom of speech that is still questionable in some of your countries) democracy and freedom of press "Je Suis Charlie". You went to support the French people which we totally understand  because 12 people (journalists) were killed. It was on TV news everywhere every hours. I remember it as if it was yesterday. I have to be honest we (Most of Africans) were all surprised to see you there because that act contradicted what you do in your own countries ( I am not getting into this discussion now because it involves politics and I do not like politics). Unfortunately among them was the "president" of my country Gabon.
However, on that very day when you went to walk in France, Boko Haram destroyed and burn an entire village in Nigeria. What did you do? What did you say? Nothing. This is so sad! On that day women in Nigeria were rapped and killed along with children and men. Approximately 1 million died that day. Today many of them do not have a place to stay peacefully they even live in fear. I am not saying that 12 lives is nothing compared to almost a million. Yes, there is no comparison when we talk about lives for sure but still one million it's a lot right? Nobody really talked about that. The international TV News talked about it few days later as if it was not that important. They barely talked about it I remember that of course they were Africans even worse they were from villages...so Who really cares? Ha! Dear Africa why do people treat you this way? I believe someday it's going to be fine...
We do not forget that day dear African presidents. That was a great support from you but...now...What about Africa your own continent? What about Kenya today? What about our brothers and sisters from Kenya?

Recently something similarly happened in Tunisia in a museum and people died...Tunisia is in Africa and we know that but I do not recall seeing something special happened to show support as well. Now this is what happened in Kenya...Are you going to walk too like you did in France dear "leaders"? I mean showing support to the Kenyan people and their president Uhuru Kenyatta as an African Nation that we are? You know the same way the support was shown to the French president Francois Holland in France which we understand. Solidarity is so important nowadays we all need it. Let's say...It won't happen...If you don't, how are we supposed to see you dear "leaders"?  Well... Let's see. The world is watching...
To those who read French you might want to read this article from yahoo.fr I thought it was interesting to see that many people feel the same way: https://fr.news.yahoo.com/terrorisme-les-internautes-denoncent-l-indifference-generale-apres-l-attaque-au-kenya-164235104.html?vp=1
Anyway! That was a short post just to say that You people of Kenya You are in my heart, all Africans 'hearts
Our "presidents" were Charlie few months ago was it wise? I don't know but that was their decision  that was their choice but I am Kenyan and most of Africans in the continent are "Kenyans" in regard to what happened
RIP dear students. May God Almighty gives Justice for your Souls and may God give comfort to your families.
This is what I just wanted to say
